Job Description
- Providing business support through budgeting, forecasting, and models to the operational teams within the company
- Ownership over building out the finance function, including implementation of systems, processes, and controls
- Bookkeeping, payments, payroll, VAT, administration tasks
- Establishing and maintaining a strong internal control environment over the company's accounting, financial and regulatory procedures
- Ownership of day to day financial accounting, reporting and control (daily client money calculations, balance sheet reconciliations, liquidity monitoring, etc)
- Preparation of monthly management and financial accounts
- Providing financial support and analysis to all parts of the business to support data-driven decision-making
- Acting as the main point of contact for the firm's external and internal auditors for both statutory and regulatory audit purposes
- Improving efficiency and effectiveness of finance activities and reporting through automation and detailed analytics
Job Requirements
- 4+ years experience in finance/accounting experience.
- Excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards
- Financial analysis & modeling skills. This role requires a hands-on approach and the individual must be comfortable in rolling up her/his sleeves and diving in.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), including an ability to communicate effectively with clients and senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics or related field. MBA preferred
