Job Description

The Role

  • You will be a part of a highly paced and challenging event creation project for 10 months with extensive national exposure.
  • You will be part of an organization team with the goal of planning, marketing and executing a competition between universities which is the first Electric Vehicle Rally in Egypt, through-out its complete life cycle of competing teams preparations technically through event marketing and identity creation all to event execution.
  • Passion and interest in automotive competitions and motorsport is a major advantage.
  • You will be an integral part in ensuring that our office operations run smoothly and are successful in supporting other business activities.
  • An excellent office coordinator is, above all, an organized and competent professional with phenomenal communication skills.
  • You will be comfortable dealing with people and able to carry out IT Helpdesk duties with accuracy and speed.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the total IT system, Hardware and accounts for the project.
  • Installs, troubleshoots, services, related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors.
  • Devise information backup and storage methods and is responsible for ensuring the project does not have any incident of data loss.
  • Provides Hardware and software support.
  • Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best-practices
  • Installs, services, and repairs computers, laptops and installs company software.
  • Maintains trouble logs. Instructs users in the use of computers and networks.
  • Investigates information, network, and communications needs of users, and makes recommendations regarding software and hardware. Moves equipment from office to office.
  • Provides support to users and troubleshoots/resolves problems.
  • Develop new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve staff IT tools.
  • Maintains all support work orders in help desk system
  • May participate in after-hours support via cell phone and remote access to PC and/or network
  • Ensure end-users have optimal working equipment
  • Ensure end-users are supported quickly and efficiently for incidents, problems, and requests; reduce first-call- resolution times; must have excellent judgment for when to escalate
  • Ensure the LAN and WAN in office are working efficiently
  • Establish the project communication means (Landlines , Mobile Phones and Bundles)
  • Keeps Hardware inventory equipment and report’s findings of any problems
  • Must be passionate about helping people work more efficiently by utilizing technology with little or no downtime
  • Must be proactive in ensuring systems are performing and continue to perform at optimal levels
  • Works with other teams and departments in performing tasks associated.
  • Additional duties as requested by Project Directors

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or any other related degree.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Proven 1-2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and office management systems and procedures
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and experience in Windows OS, MAC OS and LINUX.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Patience and professionalism
  • Reliability and discretion: you will often learn of confidential matters
  • Communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Initiative

  • Experience in Networking Topology; Firewall installation; configuration
  • Hardware experience with mobile OS would be highly desirable
