Job Description
- Planning and coordinating preventative and corrective maintenance measures on Plant machinery and equipment to assure safety and compliance with rules and regulations.
- Supervising & planning the required qualifications tests for the Plant machines and systems.
- Tracking and analyzing key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization and maintenance costs.
- Planning, Coordinate & conducting the maintenance activities and urgent repair orders, and advising on equipment status and operational condition.
- Providing and producing periodic reports on operational cost and condition of equipment as needed.
- Assessing all repairs thoroughly so that all replacement parts as well as any necessary spare parts kept in inventory are ordered in a timely manner in coordination with Purchasing function.
- Recommending improvements or replacements of production machines.
- Ensuring that all equipment is maintained, repaired, returned and re-installed to production status and that all safety procedures are followed properly.
- Distributing and following up on work activities, projects and programs, monitoring work flow and reviewing work methods and procedures.
- Suggesting plans and programs to boost the effectiveness of the Maintenance function.
- Updating plants maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) according to best practices
- Initiating plants maintenance program based on best practices in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Supporting maintenance activities, and reviewing equipment state and operational condition in order to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the direct supervisor.
- Preparing periodic reports with respect to the Maintenance function’s activities and achievements to be submitted to the direct supervisor.
- Participating in determining training needs of subordinates and evaluating the outcomes of training courses in coordination with the concerned human resources personnel.
- Conducting performance appraisals for subordinates’ according to scheduled plans and recommending necessary actions as per the applied practices.
- Conducting periodic meetings with subordinates’ to ensure that priorities are clear and actions are running smoothly.
- Following up on subordinates’ affairs including vacations, leaves…etc.
- Nominating a deputy to carry out the responsibilities of the position whenever the need arises
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
