Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the installation and maintenance of server infrastructure based on business requirements and adhering to tight operations control, security and procedural models·
- Work with other engineering disciplines to build, support and troubleshoot issues while carrying out sever deployment activities·
- Installation, configuration and hardening of ESX clusters, adding nodes, and host profile creation, HA and DRS·
- Configuration and troubleshooting of SAN LUNs and datastore· Network and vSwitch configuration and troubleshooting·
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- HP DL360 & DL380 Servers·
- Candidate is required to possess good interpersonal skills to work with cross functional IT teams
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with the installation and configuration of HP DL360, DL380, and Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers·
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with the installation and configuration of VMware, Linux KVM, MS Windows Server, and Red Hat.
- Enterprise Linux on HP and Dell servers·
- Experience in HP and Dell server internal RAID and iLO configuration and troubleshooting
- VMware vSphere 6.0, Linux KVM and Microsoft Hyper-V Virtualization Technologies·
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with enterprise class virtualization technologies – VMware, Linux KVM and Hyper-V, this includes setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- The position requires a candidate with strong technical competency in Unix and/or Windows operating systems, HP hardware as detailed in the Technical Requirements section below·
- Good knowledge of firewalls to manage virtual infrastructure· Ability to perform troubleshooting using command line·
- Ability to manage virtual infrastructure using a vSphere thick client and web client3)
- MS Windows 2012 & 2016·
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with VMware Windows virtual machine management·
- Setup, configure, harden, and troubleshoot Windows 2012 Server·
- Hands-on experience in server end SAN/NAS configuration and troubleshooting·
- Good knowledge in TCPIP networking – link aggregation/redundancy, switches, routing and load balancing·
- Experience in Active Directory Forests / Domains / Trusts installation, configuration and troubleshooting·
- Familiar with MSSQL installation and clustering configuration· Good scripting skills using PowerShell / VBScript4)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.x & 7.x and CentOS 7.x·
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with the installation and configuration of RHEL and CentOS on HP Proliant and Dell PowerEdge rack servers.·
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with VMware and Linux KVM virtual machine management.·
- Setup, configure, harden and troubleshoot RHEL and CentOS· Hands-on experience in server end SAN/NAS configuration and roubleshooting·
- Good scripting skills in RHEL/CentOS environments5) Personal Competencies·
