Job Description
- Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
- Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices
- Monitor network performance and integrity
- Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
- Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
- Mentor team members on technical issues
- Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
- Communicate with users when needed
- Maintain complete technical documentation
- Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years related experience in infrastructure/network environments and designing, planning, documenting and implementing LANs and WANs using latest technology
- At least 3 years of experience in a Sr. Network Engineering role
- CCIE certification or equivalent; or a Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering is preferred
- Expertise on IP Technologies and extensive knowledge of WAN technologies such as MPLS and Metro Ethernet
- Extensive experience and expertise on IP routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
- Expert engineering knowledge of load balancing / traffic management technology including F5 Big-IP for LTM/GTM
- Expert engineering knowledge of WAN optimization technology, including Riverbed Steelhead, to optimize application traffic across the WAN links
- Knowledge of Cisco encryption technologies (IPSec, SSL), and hot standby protocols HSRP and VRRP
- Advanced understanding of TCP/IP network protocols, including common application protocols
- Experience in high-availability networks in load-balanced, n-tier application environments
- Experience with Cisco wireless technology
- CCIE, CCNA, or CCNP Routing and Switching certification preferred
- ITIL certification preferred
- Expertise on IP Technologies and extensive knowledge of WAN technologies such as MPLS and E1/T1 and Metro Ethernet.
- Expert engineering knowledge of network hardware, specifically Cisco ASR 1K and 9K routers; Nexus 5K and Cisco 4500 switches, Arista 7000 series switches, with a strong focus on data center technology
- Extensive experience and expertise on IP routing protocols such as OSPF, and BGP
- Knowledge of Cisco encryption technologies (IPSec, SSL), and hot standby protocols HSRP and VRRP
