Job Description
The sector manager for exhibitions is responsible for the successful execution and production of International exhibitions and trade missions related to specific industrial sectors.
- Assisting Egyptian companies to expand their outreach in the global market. Moreover, he/she will act as the link between EDA and export entities internally and externally;
- Building up strong knowledge about the sector needs, all potentials and concerns on local and global level;
- Recommending International Exhibitions related to his/her sectors for Egyptian Participation after identifying export market development opportunities; by analysing sector and market news and trends; assessing the competitive marketplace; examining emerging issues in regional trade and sector developments; identifying EG’s sector strengths and competitive advantages; defining areas of opportunity for priority markets; providing informed recommendations to advise companies on potential growth strategies;
- Planning and Executing trade missions and B2B meetings related to his/her sector/s;
- Promoting International exhibitions, trade weeks and trade missions to stakeholders;
- Reviewing Egyptian Companies’ applications for participation in exhibitions according to EDA’ regulations and submit recommendations to Management;Vacancy Announcement Sector Manager, Exhibition Program Export Development Authority Department of Human Resources and Administration
- Following up with clients related to his/her sectors to ensure satisfying participation’ regulations, documents, payments...etc;.
- Handling enquiries of Exhibitors, Organizers and related entities.
- Preparing terms of reference, tender dossiers and request for proposals;
- Coordinate with Consultants and Organizers of International Exhibitions to guarantee successful participation;
- Working closely with all related export entities such as Export Councils, ECS...etc;
- Preparing presentation and meeting materials; drafts and produces written documents including briefing notes, reports, issue papers, position papers, market analysis, speaking notes, Q&As, backgrounders, correspondence, and other documents including sector export strategies
- Establishing and maintaining a strong network of regional and sectoral business organizations throughout Egypt in order to maintain currency with local issues, challenges and opportunities;
- Report regularly on progress to Head of Export Promotion Sector
Job Requirements
- University degree in Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
- 10years of experience working with Industrial companies and with export promotion organizations and/or business support organizations.
- General management experience with ability to deliver the highest standards of customer service.
- Excellent networking skills.
- High level of responsibility, leadership and self-motivation.
- A MINIMUM OF FIVE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN ALL OF THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED
- Managing the participate n of companies in international trade fairs
- Working with exporters and/or international markets.
