Job Description
Job Purpose:
To direct and oversee the purchasing activities for SIAC projects’ Materials from local and foreign markets with the best quality, and least Cost.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead purchasing transactions and ensures its proper execution within the various organizational units in line with the existing policies and procedures while seeking to optimize the quality of Materials and value for money.
- Develop an Implementation plan of the required materials for the project once the project documents are received.
- Manage the process of requisitions and purchase orders to ensure that timely delivery up to set standards.
- Approve purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to SIAC policy and related considerations as applicable.
- Oversee the select and evaluation of suppliers (local/international) with coordination with related staff and as per SIAC strategy and directions.
- Conduct a regular survey of the market to reach the best suppliers and the best prices and specifications.
- Review and distribute the projects purchase requisitions as per the material requirements among staff.
- Ensure proper documentation for all records of Materials ordered, received and request further analysis if required.
- Maintain effective working relation with external entities as required.
Job Requirements
- Engineering Background
- At least 15 years of experiences in the same field 5 of them, in managerial role.
- Excellent Knowledge about cost management, Market studies, and data analysis.
- Excellent command of English Language.
