Job Description

The Head of Digital Consulting Unit will spearhead a new Business Unit within Toolbox, which aims to introduce a digital consulting service. The service consists of representing clients in the supervision and management of their digital marketing activities performance. The unit will NOT be providing direct management of social media accounts and will NOT be involved in digital media buying. The role is limited to consulting clients as an independent objective expert in the field while supervising the digital agencies, who are handling the direct management of the clients’ digital activities. It replaces the client’s need to hire an in-house Digital Performance Manager, by providing the same service at an optimum top standard level.

The Head of Digital Consulting Unit will be responsible for the design and setup of the new service offering, launch and introduction of the service to potential clients, finalizing contractual agreements, and providing the consulting service itself until revenue grows to a level allowing the expansion of the team providing the service under the supervision of the Head of Digital Consulting Unit. As a Business Unit Manager, he/she is responsible for the P&L of the new unit. He/she will be reporting to Toolbox Managing Partner. Job scope includes the following:

  • Design the exact service offering and the required presentations/material to offer it and promote it to potential clients.
  • Set the Business Unit’s revenue targets and lead the efforts to achieve them.
  • Build a database including potential clients.
  • Identify, contact, and setup meetings with potential clients to develop business and sell the service.
  • Negotiations and finalization of contractual agreements with clients.
  • Strategizing, planning, and optimization of contracted clients’ digital media campaigns, along with performance management, evaluation, reporting and client consulting.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and be a subject matter expert on display.
  • Develop/review campaign KPI’s proposed by digital agencies and supervise the setting of campaign’s objectives and strategies.
  • Review digital content proposed by digital agencies and provide feedback to increase quality, click through rates and click to conversion rates.
  • Supervise the digital agencies in setup and implementation of digital media campaigns to ensure they are executed in line with industry best practices.
  • Optimize Digital media campaign’s performance.
  • Generate an independent campaign evaluation report to track and analyze achievements vs. KPI’s and review the evaluation reports presented by digital agencies.
  • Identify opportunities for new tactics/improved ROI/forecast investment and return.
  • Request and review supporting documents from digital agencies to monitor actual media spending vs. contractual agreement with client.
  • Develop a strong understanding of consumers, buying behaviors, segmentation and profiling.
  • Extensive analytical capabilities in quantifying, reporting and documenting performance metrics.

Job Requirements

  • Entrepreneurial mindset motivated by the opportunity to setup and launch a new service into the market.
  • P&L driven aiming to maximize profit of the Business Unit he/she in charge of.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ extensive expertise and a successful track record in digital media planning and buying.
  • Strong sense of Marketing analytics and how to derive actionable insights from data to achieve improved business performance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management on the client’s side from Marketing, as well as digital agencies.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, sales and business development skills, relationship skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and agencies.
  • Existing relationships with digital agencies, portals, ad networks, and other large publishers is a plus.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to get work completed is a key success factor.
  • Ability to multitask, handle pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment without a lot of direction or oversight.
  • Bachelor Degree.
  • Excellent English language spoken and written is a must.
