Job Description
- Assists in Coordinating and facilitating of on-campus and off-campus recruiting events.
- Assists in Coordinating tours of the campus to potential students.
- Traveling to school campuses to provide students with information about SU’s academic programs.
- Assist the Marketing department in creating marketing materials like brochures and pamphlets.
- Conduct interviews with prospective students and families
- ensuring that the prospective families are provided with accurate and appropriate advice whilst assessing that the prospective student is suitable for SU.
- Help Organize, administer and co-ordinate annual student interview/application days.
- Assist in the co-ordination and representation at events such as open days, school expos and tours.
- Accurately and completely portrays educational programs, expected outcomes, career
- services and financial consideration to students and parents.
- Provides general program advising to incoming students.
- Reviews transcripts and assists students in developing an educational plan.
- Provides essential information related to admissions requirements and enrollment processes to prospective students by phone, email or in person; acts as subject matter expert regarding the University’s enrollment requirements and programs.
- Works on student applicant issues.
- Evaluates applicant credentials, including evaluation of transcripts, standardized test scores, and supporting documentation. Calculates specified GPA’s for admission consideration.
- Oversight of enrollment process: inquiries, phone screens, interviews & enrollment process.
- Monitors performance of online applications and automated processes and works with Director of Admissions to improve and update as needed.
- Tracks applicants as they move through the admission process, communicates as needed in addition to automated communication.
- Sends out all correspondence to applicants up to acceptance; acceptance emails, denial emails, waitlist emails, interview invitations, etc.
- Compiles admissions data for final decisions by the Admissions Committee, submits Admissions’ Recommendations
- Tracks completed applicants and sends invitations for interviews.
- Maintains database for assigned programs.
- Tracks statistics, gathers data, and writes reports.
- Assists departments in developing, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures relating to admissions based on past processes and student success rates.
- Provides office coordination responsibilities. Works with office support staff in coordinating all clerical and student help. Oversees day-to-day issues.
- Maintains student files for specific college requirements including general education credits and competencies prior to graduation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
