Job Description

  • Perform a variety of cost engineering functions including cost control, budget preparations, forecasting, and cost reporting under limited supervision.
  • Set‐up Cost Control System and Project Budget manual based on established Company's Chart of Accounts and Project Expense items.
  • Develop projects budgeted cost for construction (Projects Budgeted Cost Rev.01).
  • Review and enter all project committed cost data into cost tracking system.
  • Maintaining controls records for the duration of the project. Archiving controls records as required.
  • Organize Cost Control Project task force unit composed of cost control engineers, technical office engineers, cost clerks/encoders in periodical cost reporting and evaluation i.e. daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Monitors and evaluate projects cost / man‐hour performance on monthly basis.
  • Monitoring, reporting and forecasting project cost & revenue trends.
  • Analyzing cost & revenue trends and reporting problems or potential problems.
  • Monitoring, reporting and forecasting actual versus planned cost progress, productivity and reporting problems or potential problems to projects controls manager.
  • Report turnaround and project actual vs. baseline cost status as required.
  • Reporting earned value per phases of work and identify trends that impact the final cost projections.
  • Lead the Projects Cost Control Unit in the preparation of terminal cost reports upon completion of projects and collaborates with Finance & Accounting Department for the preparation of Profit & Loss Statement of completed projects.
  • Prepare monthly cost control reports reflecting cost progress status.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when directed by the Supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • 5-7 years experience in project planning and detailed scheduling for all aspects of engineering
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering from a recognized University
  • Primavera course version 6 or later version (is an advantage).
  • PMP‐Project Management Professional (is an advantage).
