Job Description
Job Purpose:
- The ideal candidate will be reporting directly to Sr. Manager – Asset Excellence but will also build strong partnerships with area maintenance leaders. The candidate will be a part of the Technical Support team that build the technical capability among the company, provide the quality assurance functions & sets the direction and policies for our A&ME development.
- The Mechanical Reliability Engineer is to Provide Technical Support / idea to improve plant Mechanical system performance through Reliability program and increase plant availability through efficient and effective response to major critical defects.
- Requires solid interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all employees.
Key Accountabilities:
- To support the Business Units by providing the technical references and quality assurance role for the mechanical related failures.
- To support the SBUs to Initiate and implement reliability improvement projects/retrofits to enhance plant reliability & recommend the right approach to resolve Asset Performance killers.
- To Perform Reliability improvement studies in Mechanical discipline considering the chronic issues, repeated failures, obsolescence, upgrading and improvements.
- To ensure active participation and input from Mechanical Engineering perspective for the major company activities such as Shutdown scope preparation, Shutdown activities, Emergency Shutdown, MOCs, etc.
- Provide timely information, feedback and data regarding planned Shutdown activities.
- Support to Manage all services and its related contracts in all production units related to maintenance to ensure smooth & timely execution of all maintenance activity.
- Drive Maintenance Strategies through recommendations from APM Methodologies. Effectively support company programs on safety, quality, environment, change management etc.
- Identify improvement opportunities and make appropriate recommendations. Keep up to date with state-of-the-art technology related to Mechanical Field.
- Coach & guide junior team members within the department, to enhance their experience and ensure their continuous development & growth.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, from reputable university
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering/ Maintenance Field.
Skills:

- Experience of SAP related processes.
- Expert in management system development procedures, work instructions, checklists, and form.
- Full Knowledge & understanding of Reliability programs.
- Experience with Project Management methodologies.
- Certify as Reliability engineer.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communications skills.
- Economical understanding, systematic approach.
- Analytical, proactive, methodical, chronological, and open-minded approach.
- Technical Reporting.
- Prefer high technical background in Instrumentation.
