Job Description

  • Servicing company clients and optimizing sales of current company products.
  • Prospect new customers and sales manage against a sales budget.
  • Assisting with the expansion of company product offerings to customers to grow sales.
  • Plan and carry our specific customer and product activities to achieve budget growth targets and timelines
  • Maintain current knowledge of market developments and accurately assess the opportunities including maintaining a project pipeline and customer records and reports.
  • Monitor, review and act on customer feedback, activities and performance including managing against business plan (budget) and maintaining project pipeline.
  • Increase customer base and volumes through targeted sales activities.
  • Provide regular relevant management updates through various methods including trip reports, customer updates and meetings.
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers based on feedback from our principal partners as well as own food science knowledge.
  • Manage selected agencies/principals: tasks to include managing sales and activity performance, stocks, reports and feedback. Maintaining related reports, literature, samples and ongoing communication and other tasks relating to principal management.
  • Assist management to develop sales and marketing strategy and plans.
  • Work with other members of the company to facilitate all aspects of customer service.
  • Support and be actively engaged in the implementation and continuous improvement of company food safety and quality programs as outlined by management.
  • Comply with all safe working practices and company values and policies.
  • Aggressively grow contribution margin and sales at existing accounts and new accounts as well as develop opportunity pipeline and closing new opportunities
  • Develop Market/Sales strategy for Food and Nutirition sectors, identification of un-met market needs and business opportunities, and new business development.
  • Maintain excellent Local market data

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bsc  in Food Technology (or similar) is required
  • Minimum 6-8years’ experience in a similar sales role
  • Demonstrated success in food ingredients sales and exposure to corporate clients in the food industry.
  • A proven capability to project manage
  • Commercially and customer driven problem solving
  • In addition to taking ownership of your own day-to-day workload and responsibilities for project management, you must be willing to work collaboratively and share your knowledge within a supportive team environment
  • A very high level of technical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with excellent written, oral skills and computer literacy
  • Ability to undertake occasional travel
  • Very good command of English : speaking and writing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B2B experience is a must.
  • Demonstrated success in sales function, driving growth and positive customer experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to negotiate and build effective relationships across all levels of business and customers.
