Job Description

Scope:

This position is assigned responsibilities involving the planning and development of automated applications systems to support the business needs of an organization. This includes review and analysis of user functions and activities, evaluation of available resources and current systems, and the development of appropriate programs or systems

Key Duties:

  • Provide support for all core business applications (Hospital Management Information System)
  • Provide first level and second level technical support for business applications during extended business hours and weekends.
  • Respond to requests and inquiries from clients within the pre-determined timeframe of our service level agreement.
  • Resolve technical problems; identify and diagnose problem escalation and solution tracking.
  • Prioritize work to resolve technical emergencies as they may occur.
  • Identify solutions to work around open issues/problems that are under investigation or pending resolution
  • Work with systems implementation team(s) to outline scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, and timing.
  • Participate and manage new systems implementations from initiation to closure.
  • Ensure that all the systems are well integrated and meet business requirements and goals fulfilling end-user requirements.
  • Provide the needed reports on both aspects’ routine and ad-hoc.
  • Document, and track, case histories, issues, and actionable steps are taken
  • Improve documentation of support policies and procedures
  • Perform company software research, testing, and recommendations.
  • Ensure regularly data privacy and security applying the proper testing scenarios.
  • Perform quality assurance testing of new software releases
  • Prepares a variety of reports (e.g. routine and ad-hoc database reports, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities; responding to requests; or complying with mandated requirements.
  • Leads in the configuration, maintenance, enhancement and support of commercial software packages, internally developed applications and web services.
  • Leads in the customization and addition of new features to commercial software packages and internally developed applications according to end user requests.
  • Leads the maintenance of day-to-day operations of various applications.
  • Leads in designing and building new applications based on customer's requirements and specifications.
  • Writes and performs tests for applications, fixes problems as they arise, and assists with product launches.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshoots problems related to applications.
  • Writes technical documentation and uses best development practices regarding version control and testing.
  • Performs software upgrades and keeps track of software licensing.
  • Assists with managing vender relationships including scoping of application services and review of deliverables.
  • Develop and use appropriate testing protocols

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Required at this level include knowledge of computer technology; of programming languages (SQL); and of coding processes and security measures
  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Critical-thinking, problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Ability to navigate operating systems
  • Desktop communications
  • Configuration management and query software
  • Familiarity with PC’s
  • Business analysis

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer information systems or equivalent studies
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience
