Job Description
JOB OBJECTIVES
- To coordinate with all project disciplines to ensure understanding of total project cost budget allowances and targets.
- To be responsible for total integration of project cost control and reporting activities.
- To manage and direct the obtaining of required cost information for all cost analysis and reporting functions from various sources
- To direct the project cost breakdown, manpower and quantity reporting and to ensure the preparation and presentation of the Critical Items Action Report.
- To manage and identify areas of budget concern and potential impact on project financial performance
- To coordinate with projects planning engineers on schedule analysis and studies of problem areas for the determination of criticality of schedule activities and develop alternatives for schedule improvement.
- To manage in planning, organizing and supervising collection of data and issue of project cost reports and preparation of cost forecasts.
- To participate in developing and presenting designated subjects in training classes and on-the-job training programs.

Job Requirements
- Experience and demonstrated skill in the Management of project planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, schedule analysis.
- Skilled in supervision, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
- Knowledge of engineering, construction and business management techniques customarily acquired by prolonged course of specialized instruction. Knowledge of current industry and technical developments.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering preferably Civil/Mechanical /Electrical, or similar technical qualification.
- Proven track record with recognized international standard companies, particularly in Middle East operations and projects.
- Ability to communicate and work using English.
- Ability to accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
- Supervision level experience in the field of cost control and reporting.
- Experience in the field of planning and scheduling.
- Computer literate especially with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access (all essential).
- Strong experience in either Cost or Planning with good knowledge of other project control areas.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project controls for contracting industry operations
- Experience and demonstrated skill in performing, monitoring, reviewing and presenting cost control and reporting functions, which include cost budget development and periodic forecasting.
