Job Description
The key purpose of the role is to support the Business and Technology team that includes
- Understanding test automation requirements and needs for respective projects
- Implementing test automation solutions for respective projects
- Monitoring the automated test executions
- Defect communication and management with respect to automated test results
- Deliver value through automation to enhance and speed up the testing on respective projects
Job Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- To implement and embed test automation for services/APIs and embed these in a full CI cycle
- To work closely with the Test Lead, technical teams, other internal and external teams to ascertain testing requirements
- To sync with overall test automation strategies built so far
- To prepare and manage test data for automation
- To ensure compilation and documentation of test results with history and version maintenance of issue logs and defect tracker
- Monitoring of defects and coordination with relevant teams for driving resolutions as per the severity levels
Job Requirements
Essential Skills and Expertise
- Good knowledge of Java or Python Programming
- Experienced in API (REST or SOAP) testing using RestAssured, Jmeter, Postman, Gatlin or other frameworks
- Familiar with Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, and tools such as JIRA, Confluence
- Experience with CI tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, AzureDevops etc.
- Sound knowledge of Agile testing approaches – e.g. TDD, BDD and ATDD etc
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with Cards and Payment industry
- Sound knowledge of automated testing using Selenium, Cypress or similar
- Familiar with one or more test management and test documentation tools such as Zephyr
- Functional and Technical understanding of Acquiring processes
Essential Communication Skills
Must possess excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills in English for effective collaboration and influencing internal and external entities
