We offer competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs to support you and your family.To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/ .Essential Duties And Responsibilities Supports the Resident Engineer in managing the site supervision team, such as engineers, surveyors, and inspectors; Attends regular meetings with the client and other disciplines to provide updates on project progress; Resolves any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems at the site that may arise at any time; Supports the Resident Engineer in managing the delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contractor management; Manages project construction in a variety of areas such as harbors, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads and seawalls, breakwaters and shore protection structures, beaches, shoreline stabilization and sediment management; Monitors all construction-related works at the site as per approved drawings and methods and safety rules ensuring all activities are well planned and coordinated; Interprets construction/shop drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs; Reviews and processes all engineering submittals (shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, etc.) for the project; and Prepares and submits all construction progress reports as required. Education and Licensure Bachelor's degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering. (required) Advanced degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering. (preferred) Professional engineer licensure (preferred) Skills, Experience And Qualifications At least 5 years (7+ preferred) of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience managing permitting, planning, and construction oversight of coastal infrastructure projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required) Familiarity with international geotechnical design standards including Eurocode and British Standards. (preferred) Experience with engineering software such as AUTOCAD, Slope/W, SAP2000, ALLPILE, STAAD Pro, MATLab, SWAN, SBEACH, MIKE21, and Plaxis. (2D/3D) (preferred)
