Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: 

  • Work to ensure Supply Chain planning operations are executed on timely, efficient, and cost-effective achieving highest fulfillment rates. 
  • Assist in all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models. 
  • Forecasting the demand for a product so it can be produced and delivered more efficiently and to the satisfaction of customers, Ontime In full 
  • Effective use demand forecasting techniques to accurately predict demand trends, and carries added benefits, such as heightened company efficiency and increased customer satisfaction.
  • Seeks to achieve and maintain an effectively lean supply equilibrium, one in which store inventories contain just as many products as demand dictates

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Finding that perfect balance that exists between sufficiency and surplus.  (General Planning – Inventory) - 5%
  • Work on demand forecasting techniques to accurately predict demand trends, and carries added benefits, such as heightened company efficiency and increased customer satisfaction, by achieving 100% fulfillment rate. (Demand planning – Customer Insight)-10%
  • Feeds into the next steps in the supply chain planning process: material requirements planning (MRP) and production planning. Once the product is manufactured, it enters the execution stages of SCM, including warehouse and transportation management. (Supply Chain Planning – material planning – Dispatch)- 30%
  • Liaise with Sales managers, Manufacturing Supply Planning, dispatch and Export teams, to ensure products orders are fulfilled to the customer expectations in the required quantities and requested time. (Planning) 5%
  • Maintain the right amount of inventory to meet customer demand without incurring shortages or wasting money on making and storing surplus inventory. (FG Inventory Planning) 10%
  • Work to collection from internal and external sources on the factors known to predict or influence Product fulfillment and planning. (Planning and estimation Models)-10%
  • Statistical analysis of sales trends, inventory and other data as well as modeling the data to predict future demand this requires collaboration with suppliers, manufacturers, salespeople and other stakeholders to gather information on events that could affect demand, such as promotions/ LTOs and production delays, (Planning and Prediction – trending – data analysis)

  • Effectively work on creating models and prediction of demand based on the data model and analysis, followed by a demand plan that outlines the amount, type and location of inventory needed to satisfy the forecasted demand. Resulting in Developing effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns. 10%
  • product lifecycle management (PLM) to analyze factors that contribute to the demand for different products; and replenishment planning to ensure that inventory is in the right locations in quantities to meet the demand. (Planning and Prediction – trending – data analysis Inventory Management)-5%
  • Conduct in the early stages of sales and operations planning (S&OP), a process for aligning supply with demand by coordinating sales planning and forecasting with production planning in a unified approach. - 5%
  • Determining the required materials and possibly generating purchase orders that will ensures the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.5%
  • Coordinating with Supply planner regarding production goals, timelines, etc. Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns.
  • Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products.
  • Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
  • Supporting management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
  • Proposing and implementing solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:

 

 

Education/Certification:

  • Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, Manufacturing engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • excellent knowledge of statistical data modeling
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Demand Planner. 

 

excellent analytical, communication, organizational, planning, project management, and time management skills. Some computer skills are also necessary for managing inventory, researching suppliers, and making reports to other departments. A Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CIPM) credential could be a plus.

 

Experience: • 8-10+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, Logistics or a related Supply planning position.
