Job Description
- Purchase goods and services that meet the quantity and quality of the organization
- Fulfils all requisitions from stakeholders, while maintaining an optimum inventory of items and determining an ideal source for purchase
- Responsible for sourcing new suppliers, ensuring that all purchased products and materials meet our specifications, and negotiating with vendors as needed
- Responsible for Preparing proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and condition
- Responsible for Comparing prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers
- Responsible for Preparing and issue purchase orders and agreements
- Following up on the Purchase Orders after issuance to make sure it’s delivered within the agreed lead time
- Following up on the payments to make sure that it has been issued for the supplier based on the agreed payment term
- Assists departments by providing market information needed for tactical and strategic planning
- Keeps constantly apprised of economic / business situations as they affect purchasing policy; makes recommendations to adequately meet those changing conditions
- Responsible for updating follow up daily, monthly and quarterly reports
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Management
- 2-3 years’ experience in a Procurement organization performing vendor management, contract management and bidding
- A good working knowledge of Purchasing Strategies
- A good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- A good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Accountability for handling multiple projects at one time
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems
