Job Description
- Responsible for overall operational management and performance of Hub and delivery operations.
- Assign delivery to couriers according to schedules and route plans.
- Ensure that the process and employees are working smoothly and efficiently.
- Achieve KPI & SLA of delivery & pickup commitment.
- Supervise staff to ensure that safety best practices are being followed while handling shipments.
- Train and develop industry best practices and SOPs to operations and customer service team members.
- Interact with couriers on a daily basis
- Ensure couriers are fully prepared for their daily route
- Assist couriers with alternative routes to avoid pick up delays
- Update routes in the database on a regular basis
- Review and reconcile route log after each shift
- Evaluate all aspects of employee performance and provide coaching or discipline as needed.
- Provide operations staff with guidance and support to cope with volume growth.
- Reassign responsibilities based on change in volumes or geography.
- Collect, aggregate, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to drive insights into program performance
- Demonstrate success in working with complex strategic clients/initiatives
- Produce data-driven slides for Business Review
- Responsible for the shift assigned to AM/PM to ensure consignments are picked up/ delivered
Job Requirements
- To ensure you are a prime candidate for this opportunity it is essential that you have experience within an operations role and preferably within the courier/ freight industry.
- Educated to College level
- Excellent planning & organization skills
- Good understanding of basic service theory & supervisory management
- Ability to lead & motivate people
- Previous experience within a similar environment
- High level of commitment, energy & resilience
- Fluent English, both written & spoken
