Job Description

  • The Technical Support Engineer’s role is to implement the Top Management’s requirements of software and programmes that would facilitate the operation of their cases or to maintain the proper operation and functionality of same within the Firm. 
  • Manage all users’ requests through, phone or ticketing system.
  • Communicating with vendors and technical support abroad for any issues relating to Firm’s automated systems and software.
  • Supporting users on “on call” basis after working hours.
  • Creating a help desk system to manage and apply the Firm’s policies.
  • Support all terminal services, webmail, and others.
  • Creating and/or implementing a system supporting the external clients’ access to our Firm’s systems and supporting the one-time password.
  • Creating an archiving system.
  • Administering and maintaining the efficiency and the proper operation and functionality of all Firm’s systems and software including without limitation a document management software, accounting and time sheet software, a case management software.
  • Implementing the access control system, and handling all related server issues.
  • Supporting users in their usage of the different Firm’s facilities such as the video conferencing and teleconferencing facilities; the IP cameras surveillance.
  • Assisting the Top Management in providing them with the best offers and quotations relating to newly considered systems and/or software; and handling all the deal’s process and testing the considered product’s compatibility with the Firm’s systems until the proper installation and operation.
  • Properly representing and advising the Top Management in relation to any IT decisions relating to the progress and development of the Firm.
  • Maintaining the proper operation and functionality of all Firm’s laptops and PCs.
  • Training all users on all the new systems as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues relating to existing ones.
  • Providing training for users in relation to standard Microsoft Office tools.

Job Requirements

  • Qualifications
  • Proficiency in the operating systems, Microsoft office productivity,
  • Proficiency in programming tools, programming languages.
  • Proficiency in Hardware; LAN implementation, PC maintenance, MFP, Blade servers.
  • Proficiency in Network infrastructure, applications infrastructure and configuration.
  • Working under pressure; having leadership skills and excellent problem solving skills
  • Accommodating to flexible working hours being “on call” after working hours.
  • Use of sound judgment in handling any conflicts, and prioritizing tasks for best productivity
  • Proactivity and promptness with excellent communication skills
  • High standards of commitment and accountability.
  • Patient and Prudent in handling and reacting to stress related behavior during pressing tasks and deadlines.
