Job Description
Job Purpose
To maintain company financial records in accordance with company policies and international accounting standards through implementing effective control systems and procedures to ensure that all the assets of the company are secured and not subject to any type of risk.
Main Responsibility:
- To maintain company fixed assets (ISP’s Tangible and Intangible ) financial records in accordance with company policies and international accounting standards through implementing effective control systems and procedures to ensure that all the assets of the company are secured and not subject to any type of risk.
- To maintain the fixed asset registers (FAR) and work in progress accounts (WIP) for newly acquired and already existing fixed assets.
- Ensure accounting treatment related to Fixed Assets is consistent with international financial reporting standards(IFRS)
Reporting and Monitoring:
- Maintain quarterly and annual reporting requirements e.g. quarterly commitment reports, Taxation report, annual Fixed Assets/CAPEX Reports…etc.
- Review monthly backup related to Fixed Assets with full details reflecting ledger figures.
- Adhere to reporting agenda and ensure meeting all deadlines.
- Monthly monitoring CAPEX Accruals, percent of projects completion and CAPEX Provisions.
- Maintain CIP Aging report on Monthly basis
Policies and Procedures:
- Handle and update Fixed Assets policies and procedures to match current business needs and to compliance with Etisalat group polices.
Tasks and Operation:
- Review conducted monthly closing accounting entries required for Fixed Assets including but not limited to capitalization disposals, depreciation calculation and Amortization.
- Review monthly reconciliation for sites integrated to determine the variances and allocate the matched sites on FA module according to the data received from different departments
- Reviewing and validating monthly unrealized Gain/Loss occurred from AP accrual CAPEX transactions (FOREX)
- Review monthly Reconciliation with Insurance dept. to ensure that all Fixed Assets under insurance coverage.
- Review Monthly mass addition for Technical and Non-Technical assets based on approved documentations (Allocation, Category and Type).
- Maintain periodic physical counts of Fixed Assets and reconcile it with our books
Internal & External Auditors requirements:
- Handle requirements requested by Internal & External Auditors taxation and management.
- Provide assurance on validity, accuracy and completeness of the Fixed Assets General Ledger (GL) for IA & EA.
Manage Fixed Assets Projects:
- Participate in establish new automated projects related to fixed assets to enhance the efficiency and the accuracy of fixed assets role.
- Manage Non-technical Fixed Assets tagging project.
Organization support:
- Assists organizations in responding to audit recommendations and implementing corrective action.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS_ESSENTIAL
