Job Description
Quality Assurance Manager
- Follow up on the cultivation of seed potatoes and the weather conditions that affect them in the origin countries.
- Preliminary Inspection of the bags after harvesting and before packing in the origin countries
- Inspect seed potatoes after packing at the quarantine of the origin countries and to make sure that their policies are applied
- Oversee the storage of seed potatoes and follow up their physiological conditions and the presence of any spots on the bags to be cured immediately.
- Participate in setting storage plan at cold stores and warehouses
- Decrease the losses of seed potatoes that may be caused by the torn bags
- Supervise and follow up the quarantine inspection of seed potatoes
- Analyze season problems and recommend solutions to avoid any problem that may arise next season
- Participate with the R & D department to develop awareness programs for farmers & follow up with farmers the cultivation problems of imported seed potatoes and to respond to any technical inquiry
- Oversee the quality lab
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Academic and professional qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science preferred special Chemistry dept. or Agriculture (Food science dept.).
- Excellent command of the English Language
Experience:
- Minimum 13 years of experience in the same field
