Internship Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and technical proposals for tenders in the oil and gas sector.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and requirements to develop accurate bid documents.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather necessary data for tender submissions.
- Review and interpret client tender documents, ensuring compliance with all technical and commercial requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential cost-saving opportunities during the estimation process.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and validate pricing.
- Prepare and present tender clarifications, queries, and responses to clients as required.
- Ensure timely submission of tenders, adhering to strict deadlines and company standards.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all tendering activities and historical cost data for future reference.
- Support post-tender negotiations and handover processes to project execution teams.
Internship Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in tendering, estimation, or proposal engineering within the oil and gas industry is Preferred.
- Basic understanding of project cost estimation methodologies and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contracts is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and supplier management.
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite and MS teams apps including integrating the latest AI tools.
- Knowledge of local and international codes, standards, and regulations relevant to oil and gas projects is a plus.
