Internship Description
To work as a part of the Product Design team and assist the existing product designers in the following:
End-to-end product design and development process for any given product design request while maintaining and following the SAND Product Design’s core-values, mission and vision.
Executing the product design process, which is summarized in the five fundamental development phases below:
- Identify Innovation & Need
- Develop Product Concept(s)
- Develop Product Technology
- Prototyping & Production
- Product Evolution & Evolution
In SAND the product designer is the heart and soul of the firm, he/she will be part of a creative, dynamic, passionate and unconventional team. Where we pioneer in delivering a unique service in Egypt and the Middle East of Product and Industrial design.
Internship Start date: 1-JUL-2017
Duration: 3 Months
Please note that after the successful completion of the internship and training program the candidate will get an opportunity for a full time position as a Product Designer in SAND if applicable.

Design Skills
- Broad knowledge of Product Design process
- Creatively generates ideas to address a product design brief
- Ability to develop preliminary product sketches during product brainstorming phase - Conceptualization
- Ability to develop final product sketches - Presentation
- A passion for creating products that resonate on an emotional level.
- Product specification development and analysis.
Academic Experience
- Currently studying to pursue one of the below degrees
- Mechanical Design Engineering – BSc
- Electronics Engineering – BSc
- Industrial Design (a.k.a Product Design) – BA
- Applied Arts – BA
- Fine Arts – BA
Software Skills
- Fluency in Minimum 1 of the below design or post-design software:
- SOLIDWORKS
- KEYSHOT
- ADOBE – PHOTOSHOP
- ADOBE – ILLUSTRATOR
- ADOBE-INDESIGN
- ADOBE-PREMIERE
