Internship Description
Autotronics Research Laboratory (ARL) is a research center located at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University. The Lab is dedicated to the research fields of advanced transportation systems which include autonomous driving high and low level control, autonomous driving behavior, perception, localization, vehicle to vehicle communications and vehicle to infrastructure communication. The lab is currently working in collaboration with University of Carlos the third De Madrid developing an autonomous personal mobility solution for closed urban environments on a multi-passenger electric golf cart.
Job Description:

Responsible for the designing and implementation (manufacturing) of mechanical systems (steering and braking systems) and also for manufacturing fixation methods for the encoders (sensors). This will include stress analysis of the parts designed and documenting all of the work done.
Internship Start date: 18-3-2020
Duration: 4 weeks
Internship Requirements
- 3rd or 4th-year UnderGrad student. MSc students are also welcome to apply.
- Good knowledge of mechanical design.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and product design concepts.
- Had enrolled in manufacturing processes before.
- Mechanical solid modeling tools (preferably Solid Works).
