Job Description:
- Makerspace student assistant is responsible for a variety of tasks within the Makerspace and report to the Makerspace Manager.
The intern will learn:
- New skills in electronics students projects and embedded systems.

Internship Requirements
- General supervision of students working in the Makerspace
- Enforcement of Makerspace policies and procedures
- Enforcement of safety policies and ensuring machines and tools are used safely and returned to designated storage
- Training users on the safe and proper use of Makerspace equipment
- Leading training classes on machinery and tool use within the Makerspace
- Maintenance and calibration Makerspace equipment
- Cleanup and organization
- Inventory management and stocking of material
- Setup and testing of new equipment
- Development of and assistance with the developing training materials
- Reception duties
- Leading tours of the Makerspace
- Troubleshooting faulty machines and coordinating repair of machines
- Designing and updating physical setups in the Makerspace
- Development of social media content for the Makerspace
- Participation in the selection of new equipment
- Fabrication of parts
- Participate in the development of Makerspace management systems and procedures
