Position: Intern Receptionist & Customer Service Representative

Working Hours: 6 hours per day 5 days per week

Duration: 6 months 1 October 2019 to 31 March 2020

About Centre Rézodanse-Egypte

  • Centre Rézodanse Egypte is an independent cultural centre dedicated to the promotion of the art of dance in Alexandria. Operating since 2008 and up till now, Rézodanse is a place where many artistic and cultural projects were implemented for the purpose of promoting dance, and dance education in Alexandria. Next to its core activity as a ballet school, Rézodanse has implemented, initiated, and co-founded several projects for that purpose along the past 10 years of operating, such as; Nassim El Raqs, Silsilah Dance Project, and the International Street Parade. Closely cooperating with local and international cultural operators such as the French Institute, the Goethe Institute, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Teatro Eskendria, and others, Rézodanse has developed a very strong capability for the implementation of local cultural and artistic projects.
  • Centre Rézodanse Egypte is looking for (1) Intern Receptionist / Customer Service Representative as a support position within the front desk operation. The main role of this person is to welcome all customers in a friendly and professional manner, reflecting our image, and directing our customer's needs in an efficient manner. He/She will also be asked to help with maintaining an office environment and efficient work flow to support the office administrator work. Besides being a dance school, Centre Rézodanse is involved in many artistic and cultural projects mainly related to dance education. With a team of international teachers and resident artists, Rézodanse is providing an opportunity to work in a comfortable, open-minded, and friendly atmosphere. The position proposed is a great opportunity for those who are planning develop their administrative and customer oriented skills within an intercultural environment. It also provides a chance to interact personally, and on a daily basis, with the cultural scene of Alexandria, through collaborating with different associations and counterparts over different local and international projects.

Role and Responsibilities of Receptionist / Customer Service Rep:

  • Greeting visitors to our front desk, dealing with their requests, and directing their needs efficiently
  • Directing incoming/outgoing phone calls appropriately
  • Cashing in invoices, providing daily financial and attendance reports
  • Keeping a clear and accurate record of clients' and teachers attendance
  • Contacting customers and teachers whenever needed
  • Updating schedules and social media channels on daily basis, and maintaining a high responsiveness rate on social media.
  • Various administrative tasks as required by the administrator.

Internship Requirements

Criteria and preferable qualifications:

  • Students of relevant degree to administration, business, or marketing.
  • Excellent writing skills in English and Arabic. French Language is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of social media tools.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Punctuality, commitment and flexibility are very necessary for engaging culture and artistic work.
