Since concrete is the most widely used material worldwide, concrete industries have the environmental and societal responsibility to contribute to sustainable development. The concrete industry is a significant contributor to air pollution and also a consumer of vast quantities of natural materials, including water. For each ton of cement produced, one ton of CO2 and other green-house gases (which contribute to global warming), is released into the atmosphere
