English Teaching in The Western Australian International School System - Vietnam / GT

Job Description:

• This position is a classroom teaching role reporting to the Principal. The basic function of a teacher is one of the development and implementation of a curriculum consistent with the philosophy, policy, and practice prescribed by the School. The School will deduct 5% of your every month paycheck and it will be returned to the end of the school year. (Deductions for damage to or loss of the employer's goods, equipment, or property… by the employee's neglect or default or Breach of contract)

Main activities:

• To teach diligently and faithfully the classes or subjects assigned to the Teacher by the School.
• Create a lively, communicative atmosphere in class which is conducive to teaching and learning
• Record attendance and ensure appropriate behavior of students in class and around the school.
• Maintain student records: assessment records, progress records, classroom planning records,...
• Examinations and reports, planning, assessment and evaluation of pupils, student assistance.
• Attend assemblies, meetings, Parent Evenings, presentations and events, including on Saturdays.
• To participate in a program of activities other than classroom instruction: sports, art,...
• Be available for all parent‐teacher conferences, inform parents of students' progress.
• Cover for absent colleagues when necessary.
