Internship Description

A business development associate has seven primary responsibilities:

  • Deliver new sales lead that matches WATER potential for growth criteria
  • Run company assessment form through WATER assessment deck
  • Manage the execution of all business development projects
  • Manage the execution of digital services projects
  • Built and manage execution of Marketing & Sales plans for assigned accounts
  • Built relationships with all kind customers (Prospect, new, current and old)
  • Continues improvement on all the above

When it comes to new leads to WATER & BD Clients, day-to-day duties typically include:

  • Researching leads, identify new leads & new markets
  • Planning and overseeing new service initiatives
  • Represent WATER and engaging in important conferences, meetings, and industry events

When it comes to selling, typical duties include:

  • Preparing PowerPoint presentations and sales analysis
  • Inform clients about new developments in the company’s products/ service
  • Developing quotes and proposals fast and professionally done
  • Interacts regularly with the Complex stakeholders
  • Shadow CEO to learn current challenges at customers and engage to propose new services/ solutions.

When it comes to maintain a productive relationship with existing customers

  • May update clients with newsletters and account related business information in conjunction with CBDO and generate monthly target mailings and follow-up mailings to current customers
  • Business development associate is also responsible to write reports and provide feedback to CBDO about what is and is not working at both company side & client side

Internship Requirements

Business Development Associate, Skills:

  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to deal with diverse backgrounds strong in English & Arabic communication
  • Fast
  • Good with numbers
  • Leadership skills is a must
  • Solution oriented and a good researcher
  • Full proficiency of technology, MS excel, PowerPoint and word

Education and Experience:

  • Work experience in a field relevant to the position required
  • Business Development in consultancy, technology companies, ERP implementation, EQUITY companies, Investment banking, Development agencies (GIZ, UNDP, EBRD, EC, and others)
  • Extracurricular activity, showing leadership and organization skills
  • Took at least 1 to 5 learning initiatives from start to closure.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

  • Knowledge of applicable compliance, confidentiality & disclosure policies
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Financial feasibility basic knowledge and practice
  • Practiced leadership skills with profound record
