In your role as Research Translator, you will take the English version of all research and translate to the desired target language (Spanish). -
The translation will require highest caliber of translation skills and strong awareness of Business and Technology concepts and terminology.
Duration: 3-6 months
Internship Requirements
- Read original research material, understand the context and translate it to Spanish.
- Ensure the meaning and tone of the original content is retained – especially with respect to the Business and Technology concepts and Industry-specific terminology.
- Expect to work to an average daily output of 2,500 to 3,000 words.
- Ensure consistency of translation in terms of language, grammar and tone.
- Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy.
- Ability to use translation tools and software for accuracy checks.
- Ability to cross – reference and use specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the terminology equivalents and words used.
- Understand and follow international translation quality standards.
- Work with other teams to gain further understanding where needed and translate to achieve desired output.
In addition, take up translation of other content – including and not limited to website content, marketing collateral, corporate newsletters, thought leadership articles, thought pieces, blogs, portals, product description, press releases, social media messages, corporate communications, etc.
