Role description:

• Wonderful Bangka Belitung project is a collaboration project with Governor of Bangka Belitung, Indonesia to promote local tourism potential. The big aim of this project is to increase the number of tourists to Bangka, especially international tourist. Also, engaging the local people to be more aware of their local potential and coach them how to optimize it. You will work in a team consist of 10 people with different working fields with the other interns and with the local students as well.
• Main activities:
  • Exploring the island and interact with local people to see the potential of tourism development
  • Thinking creatively to create tourism package
  • Collaborating with product developer team to create SOP for tourism facilities (homestay, etc)
  • Giving workshops about how to be a good host to the local tourism community
  • Building community-based-on-tourism and empower the locals to be a part of the community
  • Creating development block of tourism community as the guideline for them in the future
  • Synergizing with all departments to achieve project's goal
