As the Middle East & North Africa’s 1st & leading brand on chitosan solutions; we value the power of community and the impact of supporting local scientific achievements & talent across the researchers’ community in Egypt. Chitosan Egypt is Establishing Africa’s 1st Chitosan Scholar Hub which fosters a community of support, knowledge transfer and partnerships between science & industry!

Chitosan Egypt is seeking to hire a Scientific Community Coordinator; to connect & foster relationships with chitosan researchers across universities, research centres and institutions across Egypt to document & share their research achievements on chitosan-platforms to the wider world!

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Researching, Collecting data, & profiling top-performing chitosan researchers in Egypt
  • Outreaching & connecting with the chitosan researchers to meet them online/offline for interviews on their chitosan research achievements
  • Outreach to researchers regarding building potential scientific-Industrial partnerships with Chitosan Egypt utilising tailored chitosan extracts
  • Manage all outreach activities with researchers such as phone calls, emails, meetings & interviews
  • Outline & build interview scripts
  • Support the digital marketing team with articulated content on researchers profiles
  • Research scientific content that would complement the researcher’s interview
  • Coordinate the Middle East & North Africa’s 1st Chitosan Scholar Hub soft Launch & coordinate all relevant online & offline activities for continuous engagement of community
  • Submit the weekly report on week’s progress

The intern will learn:

Internship Requirements

  • Basic understanding of community development principles & practice
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals, groups and organisations
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to multi-task
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good written & spoken English for communication, research & writing
  • Versatile & analytical thinker
  • Passionate about scientific research and scientific-industrial synergies
  • A graduate Bachelor degree BSc from a scientific faculty [ sciences, agriculture, biotechnology, pharmacy]
