An MBA, Master’s in Real Estate, Finance, or Hospitality would be highly desirable.

Experience across the full hotel investment lifecycle, including acquisitions, ownership, repositioning, refinancing, development, and dispositions.
Strong track record of increasing asset value, improving profitability, and delivering investment returns.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate strong understanding of:

Hotel P&Ls, budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, GOP/GOPPAR, EBITDA, flow-through, and other hotel KPIs.
Annual operating plans and long-term asset plans.
Capital expenditure planning and prioritization.
Hotel renovations, refurbishments, repositioning, and major property improvement plans.
Operator performance and management agreements.
Identifying underperforming assets and developing turnaround/value-enhancement strategies.
Balancing owner objectives with hotel operator requirements.

Strong financial and investment capabilities would be essential, including:

Hotel acquisition and disposition analysis.
DCF, IRR, NPV, equity multiples, cap rates, and investment return analysis.
Financial modelling and valuation of hotel assets.
Acquisition due diligence and investment committee papers.
Development feasibility and highest-and-best-use analysis.
Debt financing, refinancing, lender negotiations, and covenant considerations.
Portfolio-level capital allocation.
Scenario analysis and sensitivity modelling.
Understanding of hotel management agreements, leases, franchise agreements, and relevant transaction structures.

Because this is a VP position, the candidate should have demonstrated ability to:

Lead and develop a high-performing asset management/investment team.
Influence senior executives and investment committees.
Work effectively with hotel operators, owners, lenders, investors, developers, consultants, lawyers, valuers, and government/regulatory stakeholders.
Negotiate major commercial and operational decisions.
Present investment recommendations clearly to the CEO, board, or investment committee.
Manage complex, high-value projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Establish portfolio strategy and translate it into measurable asset-level actions.

The ideal candidate would also bring:

A strong understanding of hotel market dynamics and tourism trends.
Ability to balance short-term operating performance with long-term asset value creation.
Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
