Software Tester

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Software Tester / QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of experience in software testing, with strong hands-on experience in both manual testing and automated testing.
You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products by designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and working closely with developers and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases.
Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
Create and maintain automated test scripts and test suites.
Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
Analyze requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a quality perspective.
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to investigate and resolve issues.
Perform regression testing to ensure new changes do not introduce defects.
Maintain clear and accurate testing documentation and reports.
Contribute to improving QA processes, testing strategies, and automation coverage.
Execute tests across different environments and platforms as required.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Job Requirements
Requirements
3–4 years of professional experience in software testing / QA.
Strong experience in manual software testing.
Hands-on experience with test automation and writing automated test scripts.
Good understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
Experience creating test cases, test scenarios, test plans, and defect reports.
Strong knowledge of functional and regression testing.
Experience working with bug-tracking and test-management tools.
Basic to good understanding of API testing.
Familiarity with SQL/database testing is preferred.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Automation Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
Selenium
Playwright
Cypress
Appium
REST Assured
Postman / Newman
Any other modern test automation framework
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Experience with API automation.
Experience testing web and/or mobile applications.
Familiarity with Git and version-control systems.
Knowledge of performance or security testing is a plus.
Experience working with cloud-based testing environments.
