Overall Purpose of the job:

The Senior MEP Contracts Engineer is responsible for providing qualified subcontractors according to the needs of the project in terms of technical specifications and estimated budget for project tasks breakdown.

Job Responsibilities:

Update Sub-Contractor database briefing Works history, official documents, Qualifications of Human Resources to facilitate selection process.
Prepare a request to communicate with sub-contractors to get quotation according to the project’s requirements clarifying technical specification, special requirements and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
Submit Quotation Requests to the Companies & Sub-Contractors approved by the management.
Handle negotiation with subcontractor through win-win solutions within the company policy for payment method.
Compare between quotation covering the technical and financial aspects to help in selecting the best that can suit the project needs.
Follow up works quality for each Sub-Constructor according to the quarter and the semiannual reports received from the projects and site visits in order to take the appropriate actions towards the inefficient Sub-Contractors.
Prepare a quarterly report evaluating Sub-Contractors performance in terms of the level of business for each contractor and take the necessary action against the insufficient contractor.
Supporting the direct manager by ensuring aligned contractual processes, review of contractual risks & opportunities, and assist if required the contractual Claim & Change process.
Prepare the Contracts term and conditions as per the company internal regulation and agreement with sub-contractor for signing contracts by all parties.
Prepare the analysis report for the market pricing for different work items.
Applying the department ISO procedures.
Prepare periodic reports and submit them to the direct manager to follow up the work and solve problems.
