Job Description: The Mentor-Intern Program is a carefully-curated co-competitive experiential skill-enhancement initiative designed to assist candidates in developing global competencies and leadership mindset through hands-on activities and reflective practices. The time-tested processes and practices ensure meaningful experience, exposure, and environment for individuals to learn, thrive, impact, and excel.

The Foundation highly regards Global Citizenship values, attitudes, and behaviors and takes exceptional care in onboarding candidates as it believes each candidate can infuse fresh ideas and energy into the organization’s mandate of co-creating the many futures of education for human and planetary flourishing.

Candidates engaged with the Global Citizenship Foundation learn from the unique Culture of Practice and processes that we deploy, allowing individuals from across the world to collaborate and co-create the many futures of education.

The intern will learn: Throughout the program, candidates will engage in daily debriefs, reflections, capacity-building sessions, intercultural exchanges, Eureka reports, book reviews, and skill-enhancement activities designed to foster personal and professional growth. Although the program is being experienced online, past candidates have found the experience to be more personal and profound than the traditional physical internships they've experienced. We use a mutual mentorship system, enabling an intimate relationship between the candidate (mentor-intern) and the mentor-associate (usually a full-time staff member at GCF).
