Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Chemical Sales Representative to join our team and play a vital role in expanding sales of our high-quality flavoring products. In this role, you will build relationships with new and existing customers within the food and beverage industry, identify their flavor needs, and develop customized solutions that meet their specific requirements. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, exceeding customer expectations, and contributing to the overall growth of our flavorings business.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with food and beverage manufacturers, distributors, and other potential customers within a designated territory.
  • Prospect for new leads, qualify potential customers, and identify their flavoring needs and challenges.
  • Present the unique features and benefits of our flavoring products, tailoring presentations to address specific customer requirements.
  • Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring adherence to company pricing and terms.
  • Provide ongoing customer support, resolving inquiries and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Gather market intelligence and identify new sales opportunities within the flavorings industry.
  • Track sales performance against targets, analyze data, and develop strategies to achieve or exceed sales goals.
  • Prepare accurate sales reports and forecasts.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to meet with customers and attend industry events (as needed).

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • experience in sales, ideally within the food and beverage industry or a related chemical sales role.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of the food and beverage industry and current flavor trends.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and account management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (a plus).
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record (a plus).
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory (as needed).
