Job Description

The IT Manager of Change Management & Quality Assurance plays a pivotal role in driving seamless IT transformations by leading end-to-end Change Management processes. This position ensures successful implementation and sustenance of changes, while also overseeing comprehensive Quality Assurance measures to uphold operational excellence and elevate IT service delivery.Key Responsibilities:Change Management:Develop and maintain an effective IT change management process to ensure the controlled and documented implementation of changes to IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review, assess, and approve change requests, ensuring minimal impact to production environments.Lead regular Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to review and prioritize proposed changes, considering potential risks, benefits, and business impacts.Monitor and report on the progress of approved changes, ensuring they are completed within established timelines and meeting quality standards.Provide guidance and support to IT teams in adhering to change management best practices and procedures.Quality Assurance:Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance framework to assess and ensure the reliability, functionality, and performance of IT systems, applications, services, and ITSM service requests & incidents.Design and execute test plans, test cases, and automated testing scripts to validate system functionality and performance.Collaborate with development and operational teams to identify and address quality issues, defects, and vulnerabilities throughout the software development lifecycle.Conduct regular audits and reviews of IT processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.Project Management:Manage standard IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocations, and monitor project progress against established milestones.Risk Management:Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with IT changes, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.Maintain a proactive approach to risk management by anticipating and addressing potential issues before they impact IT services.Develop and maintain risk assessment documentation, including risk registers and mitigation plans.Continuous Improvement:Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the IT department by analysing performance metrics, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and implementing best practices.Collaborate with IT leadership to optimize processes, streamline workflows, and enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations.Provide recommendations for technology upgrades and enhancements based on quality assurance findings and industry trends.Build and implement tools and frameworks to proactively monitor and manage flyadeal IT change management and quality assurance.Bridge the gap between deployment and operational teams.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field; master’s degree preferred.Proven experience (10+ years) in IT change management and quality assurance roles.Proven experience in management (5+ years) in IT change management and quality assurance roles.Strong knowledge of ITIL practices and change management frameworks.Experience with testing methodologies, test automation, and quality assurance tools.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate collaborative decision-making.Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT quality assurance.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Years & Nature of Experience:At least 10 years of experience in IT, with 5 years in leadership position.
