Where operations necessitate niche or technically complex project scopes in harsh environments, JF Subtech is the trusted partner for critical expertise in safe, efficient, and effective delivery.About the OpportunityAs a key member of the Leadership Team, the HSEQ Manager will oversee the HSEQ Management System for Subtech Middle East region, aiming for sustainable and exceptional levels of safety, environmental, product and service conformance. Your key role will be to maintain the Health and Safety culture in the region and ensure that everyone involved is aware of their responsibilities. You will focus on strategy, process improvements, HSEQ management system implementation and management, and more! You will be the go to trusted professional in terms of Health and Safety advice or issues. We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety professional with strong interpersonal and influencing skills that can help us shape a strong HSEQ function. This is a regional role and will require travel across the Middle East, Africa, and any other region as needed. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide advice on Health and Safety matters related to projects and operational activities.Lead by example, demonstrating strong HSEQ Leadership, promoting and reinforcing high HSEQ standards.Management, implementation and understanding of the HSEQ systems for Subtech ME. Working closely with the Group HSEQ personnel to ensure alignment of the HSEQ Strategy.Ensure the management systems, including policies and procedures, are in line with regulatory requirements, recognised industry standards and guidelines.Ensure that works are executed in line with local and statutory legislation and regulatory guidelines (IMCA, OGP etc.) as well as the Company HSE & Quality Policies.Responsible for the production of HSEQ documentation on site as well as client specific.Attend and facilitate safety meetings, HIRAs, incident investigations, Cost of Poor Quality investigations and lessons learnt reviews etc. as required.Assist the implementation of company policies and procedures.Carry out site visits, promoting awareness of site rules and controls.Incident reporting, Product Line HSEQ reporting.Manage and lead auditing and compliance requirements - internal and external.Monitor and audit contractor and sub-contractor SHEQ programmes to ensure compliance.Continual improvement of loss prevention and risk management control systems, programmes and standards for all operations. Assist the Commercial Department by providing HSEQ documentation, statistics and technical advice as required for tendering purposes.Budget management for the HSEQ department.Any other duties as required.About the CandidateExperience in the HSEQ field in a similar capacity, ideally in the Maritime, Offshore Oil and Gas environment.Relevant degree or qualifications combined with suitable experience.Qualified as a lead auditor in either ISO 9001, 14001 or 45001.Formal training (e.g. TapRoot, Kelvin TOPSET etc.) in accident / incident investigation would be preferred.Valid offshore medical and survival, or willingness to obtain necessary certification.Previous experience of different maritime activities, both shipboard and land based.A maritime qualification would be preferred, although not essential.An awareness of international codes, standards and specifications.Excellent communication and relationship building skills.Strong organisation and time management skills.
