Job Description
- Create, transcreate, translate, and edit highly visible marketing, product, advertising, and legal content.
- Proofread translations delivered by LSPs to ensure quality and adaptation to local Markets.
- Organize trainings and feedback sessions for translators from LSPs to give them clear and concise language-specific guidelines.
- Answer and maintain queries from LSPs.
- Define and maintain linguistic standards such as an Arabic localization style guide, terminology database, and specific localization instructions.
- Lead language quality improvement (QI) initiatives with other cross-functional teams.
- Liaise with marketing, product, content control, and sales teams to understand their specific requirements and quality expectations.
Job Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
- Fluency in Arabic at an advanced level is required for this position.
- Understanding Arabic culture and society is crucial to ensure that the translation tone
- style resonate appropriately with our end-users.
- Strong English language proficiency is essential for success in this role.
- 5+ years of experience in English to Arabic localization, journalism, copy editing, content
- creation, or online marketing.
- Experience in UI localization, linguistic reviews, and translation quality management, is required.
- Strong syntactic and semantic skills to confidently make critical decisions related to translation.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to balance and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with computer-aided translation tools such as XTM Cloud, Smartcat, SDL
- or WorldServer.
- Knowledge of localization processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining linguistic assets for Arabic translation, such as
- and style guides, is preferred.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams is preferred.
