Job Description
- Translate, Review, and QC the legal text from English into Arabic (and vice-versa), by comparing it to the source text, ensuring that the translations provided are accurate, coherent, consistent, and readable.
- Analyze and interpret legal language, laws, and regulations.
- Conduct legal research to support document review and analysis.
- Finetune documents’ language flow and readability wherever required, without losing the meaning of the source text.
- Correct any contextual, factual, logical, spelling, or grammatical errors.
- Align the structure and style of translations with the quality standards, ensuring that all translated files and segments (on CAT Tools) are revised, and all instructions are applied according to clients’ requirements.
- Conduct quality assessments, deliver training/coaching sessions, and share feedback with translators to enhance performance.
- Contribute to improving internal processes, guidelines, and tools to optimize translation quality.
- Maintain ethical codes and protect the confidentiality of information.
- Research and stay updated with trends, terminologies, and cultural references relevant to English and Arabic languages.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Legal, or any related field.
- Relevant professional certifications or licensing to practice law, if applicable.
- At least 4 Years of experience in a legal reviewer role.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, concepts, and procedures.
- Proven experience as a professional reviewer, with expertise in the (AR-EN) pair of languages.
- Proficiency in grammar, spelling, and composition in both English and Arabic.
- Excellent attention to details and ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, and finetune readability.
