Job Description
This position is NOT for "PHP" Developers, this role is for "PHPFox" Developers, if you are not familiar with the term, then go ahead and navigate away from this post please!
As a Phpfox Developer, your main responsibility is for the production, modification and maintenance of Phpfox based web application's custom functionality, and by "custom" we do mean "custom", this is no place for someone who modify configuration parameters and toggle backend checkboxes.
You will work closely with UX Managers to implement their user scenarios and wireframes, also you’ll work closely with the UI Designers to integrate designs seamlessly into your complex technology.
As a Phpfox Developer you’ll also be responsible for:
- Providing accurate timing estimates on work.
- Contributing to documentation (instructional, pitch and technical specification).
- Contributing to the company development standards working closely with the Head of Development or Technical Director.
- Constantly seeking to develop yourself.
Job Requirements
It’s not really about the number of years of experience; this is old fashioned requirement now.It’s more about what your technical capability and demonstrable experience, the types of project size you’ve worked on, your knowledge of Phpfox in particular, your ability to turn around a project, and also your strengths in advance Phpfox Custom Development.
Skills and experience necessary for this role:
- Experience using PHP in an MVC environment.
- Experience with Custom Phpfox Development is essential.
- Experience with Javascript and jQuery is desirable.
- Basic data modeling and SQL skills.
- Adaptable to a fast changing but disciplined Agile development environment.
- Good understanding of Web Accessibility.
- Experience working with version control systems such as SVN or Git.
- Experience building sites to at least an AA standard?
- Some experience in AJAX techniques.
- Experience developing social networks.
