Job Description
- Responsible for the planning and coordination of enterprise-wide logistics management.
- An individual accomplishes this by creating strategic plans for carrier contract negotiations, shipment order handling, transportation network modeling, cargo and freight planning, transportation analysis, and order execution and monitoring.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Weekly follow up on shipments till they leave suppliers.
- Shipment extensions, late shipments, discount negotiations with suppliers.
- All administration (data capture, reporting etc.) on all shipments, including any re-negotiations.
- Receiving of shipping documents such as packing lists, invoices, certificates etc. from suppliers.
- Tracking of receipt of goods into the warehouse and orders and shipping schedules.
- Overseeing the loading of all orders on the system, approval of order authorization packs and dealing with all amendments to purchase orders.
- Generate feedback reports to management.
- Coordination and confirmation of merchandise shipping information between the information and the warehouse schedules
- Overseeing the receipt of salesman and shipping samples, payment of all samples, and signing off samples to the appropriate department
- Ensuring that no goods are shipped without quality assurance being completed
- Liaise with the Quality Assurance Manager regarding all quality claims against suppliers making sure that all due monies are recovered.
- Ensuring that all samples/labels etc. are duly paid for within the business agreements, while ensuring that all financial processes and standards are satisfied.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
Experience
- Minimum experience required is 1 year in the same field.
