Job Description
- Provide document handling, scanning and image enhancement duties to convert printed documents into digital formats such as RTF, TIFF, PDF, & OCR.
- Perform document preparation tasks, such as cutting document bindings, photocopying fragile or color papers, assembling documents, and unpacking and packing boxes of documents
- Effectively operate a high speed desktop scanner and corresponding software.
- Carry out all jobs in a technically correct and timely manner.
- Perform quality assurance by review of each page to ensure scanned document is accurate and complete.
- Perform data entry as required to add data to the electronic record which corresponds to a scanned document.
- Perform file transfer of scanned file to a central server (File Transfer Protocol/FTP).
- Accurately record statistical production data for each unit produced.
- Maintain good housekeeping habits and comply with all safety requirements in all facets of work assignments.
- Maintain professional and courteous customer relations.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as data entry clerk
- Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
- Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
- Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
- Good command of English and customer service skills
- Great attention to detail
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with others
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- University degree is preferred
