Job Description

  • Implements specific engineering works, as applicable in accordance with the work program of a project, or as requested within his Department.
  • Organizes, manages and supervise the daily work on site of the contractor,(s) and/or subcontractor,(s) allocated and related to his work and provides relevant engineering works support and/or advice to project teams, as applicable.
  • Review and approve all related materials, onsite and Lab tests, methods of constructions, shop drawings and as built drawings submitted by the contractor,(s) and/or subcontractor, (s) related to his duties and under his supervised scope of work.
  • Verifies that all materials, onsite and Lab tests, methods of constructions, shop drawings and as built drawings submitted by the contractor,(s) and/or subcontractor,(s) are to current codes, standards and in comply with DMA policies and manuals.
  • Liaises as directed with consulting engineers, and/or contractors on all matters necessary for the implementation of work program of the assigned projects.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and member of professional body/bodies in Egypt and/or elsewhere.

Yrs. of Experience:

  • A minimum of (5 to 6) year’s progressive experience in relevant engineering supervision works and construction contracts.

Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Mechanical Engineering standards and codes
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers and related software Auto CAD, and Word Processing Software (Excel, Word, Power point).
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of modern and complex principles and practices of Mechanical engineering for onsite supervision and design review (if necessary).
  • Knowledge of procedure and terminology for reviewing specifications; and performing construction support, design review (if necessary), and project management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally and under pressure with persons at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to transfer knowledge to others related to the supervision scope of work and reviewing all related drawings, specifications and estimates to use in the course his assigned duties.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written forms.
  • Ability to motivate staff through Proper cooperation and counseling.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organization.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and evaluate facts, prepares and presents concise oral and written reports.
