Job Description

  • Supervising CNC, Lathing, Milling, Scraping, Grinding, Welding, Black-Smithing, and Thermal Treatment Workers and Skilled Technicians for Fabrication, Assembly, and Maintenance of Press Moulds and Spare Parts for Factory Operation.
  • Coordinating Installation of Press Moulds on Press Machines with Operation, Maintenance, and Quality teams to minimize downtime
  • Responsible for planning preventive maintenance for Engineering Workshop machinery and managing corrective maintenance.
  • Selection of Raw Material (Steel) for New Moulds to achieve required press pressure, brick quality, and maximum mould lifetime
  • Preparation of BOQs, commercial and technical quotations for client orders requiring Mould Fabrication
  • Enhancing Engineering Workshop workflow documentation for improved planning and performance
  • Responsible for Emergency Maintenance response to critical manufacturing processes including breakdown diagnosis and analysis to reduce operational downtime.
  • Prepares Engineering Workshop spare parts list, budget, and stock management plan (min/max) for predictive and corrective maintenance requirements
  • Assists in annual CAPEX preparation for factory equipment and machinery
  • Conducts relevant training for Technicians for machinery operation procedures and new equipment received.
  • Keeping daily workshop Logs and Reports for data entry administrator usage
  • Responsible for HSE adherence, job safety analysis and risk management for Engineering Workshop team
  • Reviewing existing workshop health and safety procedures for improvements
  • Coordinates Engineering Workshop machinery repair efforts and outsourcing with third party companies
  • Reviews specifications for new equipment in pre-tendering phase in addition to in-house equipment modification / enhancement / fabrication recommendations and implementation.
  • Conducting Technical Audits on technician and supervisor tasks for compliance and gap identification
  • Reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Job Requirements

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering (preferably with a specialization in Materials)
  • Solid understanding of Metallurgy, Fabrication process, and Hydraulics
  • Previous experience with CNC, Lathing, Scraping, and Grinding machinery is a must
  • Previous experience with Welding and Black-Smithing is recommended
  • Required 10+ Years of relevant experience with at least 5 years of Management Experience
  • Previous experience in Refractory, Steel, Cement, or other Heavy Industries is a plus
  • Leadership, maintenance planning experience is a plus
  • AutoCad / Solid Works / Solid Edge/ CAM-CAD Knowledge and Experience is a must.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office suite knowledge (e.g. Word, Excel)
  • Self-Motivated and Able to work under pressure
  • Excellent Troubleshooting, Communication, Organizational, Time Management, Team Work, Leadership, Creativity, Critical Analysis, Coaching and Mentoring, and Decision Making Skills
  • Good Written and Oral English and Arabic Skills
