Job Description
We are looking for a security professional with a deep understanding of database security.
The primary function of this position is to serve as a resource for database security.
Cyber Security organization. The successful candidate will be familiar with a broad range of security controls that protect databases against compromise. These controls include technical, procedural, and physical controls.
The position will be responsible for assessing database security configurations against industry and internal security configuration standards and reporting the findings to stakeholders and senior management.
Essential Functions: -
- Assess database configurations for compliance with industry standards - Assess databases for vulnerabilities
- Assess server infrastructure for compliance with industry and internal standards
- Maintains awareness of and reviews existing and proposed security controls to ensure compliance with standards, industry best practices, and regulatory and legal requirements or industry standards (SOX, PCI, HIPAA)
- Participates in conducting due diligence reviews of potential vendors, products, and outsources services as it related to database security and IT controls
Job Requirements
This position is required for a Software company located in Qatar. The project will be for 3 months (Extendable)
- 5 years of equivalent experience.
- Ability to develop, configure, and manage a Database Activity Monitoring program - Ability to produce and manage metrics around communicate findings to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
