Job Description
Primary Role
- Responsible for day-to-day engineering and planning activities related to projects in accordance with contract specifications & quality.
- Primary responsible for coordinating & assisting Supervisor, Foreman, and Tradesman for carrying out periodic site / maintenance work progress in accordance with specification and project management manual.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform in daily inspections & maintenance on equipment.
- Execute and follow the maintenance plan and effective maintenance standards.
- Responsible to follow up purchase orders related to the job and monitor spare parts requirements.
- Plan and supervise the overall activities of each technician.
- Train technicians on scientific trouble shooting and ensure they are trained on required technical skills.
- Work with TPM methodologies to minimize losses types (breakdowns, minor stops, extract losses, etc.)
- Participate in Process Hazard Analysis Studies.
- Provide technical input and review of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Support implementation and ongoing execution of Mechanical Integrity programs.
- Measure actual costs / returns against projected results of analysis / recommendations and report outcomes.
- Identify potentially hazardous conditions and design operation that will protect employee and public safety, and the safety of all company resources.
- Work in a cross functional environment and interact with team members from various disciplines.
- Demonstrate ability to interface with Operations Field staff, Environment Health & Safety, Operations Management and local regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrate ability, simultaneously manage multiple projects of varying complexity.
Job Requirements
Key Competencies
- Degree/Post Graduate in engineering discipline (MEC, ELEC, Civil).
- Technical experience in a similar field.
- Working Knowledge of CMMS Software, AutoCAD and Process Simulation Software.
- Proficient in MS Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Hands on experience with electrical, mechanical, water and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Familiar with gas storage systems, facility safety and building fire safety systems.
- Minimum 5 to 7+ years of relative experience.
- Social and Leadership skills giving ability to work with people at all levels and from different cultural backgrounds.
- Management experience for on-site technicians.
- Proficient in the development and use of typical process safety. information including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
- Committed to delivering on time in full on objectives and activities.
- Good understanding of the value chain for Total Facility Services and Waste Management.
- An understanding that this job may require traveling.
- Ability to connect with people, gain their trust, and build close personal relationship with business acquaintances.
- Good presentation and demonstration skills.
- Good understanding of buying cycles and practices in large organizations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Experience in preparing quality proposals.
- Team-oriented, professional attitude with co-workers and clients.
- Result oriented, with a high sense or responsibility for achieving targets.
- Previous experience in measuring efficiency of the line (Time Study & Quality Control).
- Supervised machine maintenance.
