Job Description

  • Investigate various errors across our entire DevOps Tool Chain
  • Be the SME for DevOps Tools within the Cairo and European time zones
  • Support the software development pipeline for various projects and teams using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Sonar, JIRA, Confluence and others
  • Assist in implementing and supporting tools for project reporting and dashboards
  • Monitor system reliability and performance to support 24*7 productivity
  • Build strong working relationship with the DevOps team and its various key stakeholders across the globe
  • Assist in defining standard tool usage to support effective software engineering
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Act as an advocate for the Global Software DevOps Team in working with stakeholders

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on large-scale, mission-critical software projects.
  • Deep technical knowledge of administering Atlassian toolset including Jira, Confluence and EazyBI.
  • Deep technical knowledge of build tools such as Jenkins and Maven.
  • Strong database skills with Oracle and/or SQL server.
  • Strong development skills using C#, Python, C++ and/or Java.
  • Proven experience in setting up and managing build and testing labs.
  • Proven business analyst skills to understand, prioritize, and implement stakeholder requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple IT projects at a time with significant complexity.
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, white-boarding and presentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Exceptional ability to work with cross-functional teams to build partnerships and get things done.
  • A thorough understanding of Agile software development and testing principles and practices.
  • Ability to work with teams to remove impediments and support continuous improvement.
  • Ability to think strategically to execute both short- and long-term technology planning.
  • Proven success acting as a change agent to lead and support organizational changes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders including executives and customers.
  • Knowledge of performance and optimization tools and techniques would be an asset.
